Never get lost again! Well, not quite, but at least youll know the names of the mountains towering about you.
Look Around allows you to get the name of mountains around you: 70,000 of them in the US.
Hold the iPhone face-up, and you will see a map showing pin marks of the mountains around you. You can touch the pin marks to get their name and distance away. Your current location should be centered with a blue dot and a small compass is shown - red facing North. You can zoom in or out to show more or less mountains.
As you swing the iPhone so that the camera faces the mountains, you should start seeing their name appear at their summit on the camera image.
Look Around works best outdoors with a clear view of the sky (and the mountains).
Theres no need for an internet connection; all mountain names are included in the app. The background map will not appear however, if you dont have an internet connection.
Look Around utilises the compass so it will only work on the iPhone 3GS.
